Explora was founded to encourage a new way of travel in the remote regions of the Southern tip of South America. We love nature and enjoy liberty, we suggest a philosophy of travel born out of the desire to explore the natural and cultural environment of the remote.

South America is one of the least-known areas in the world, as well as one of the least explored. It is a region open to our imagination, with much to discover: volcanoes, salt flats, 1000-year-old forests, lakes and rivers. At the same time South America offers a journey through history, as the cultures that originated here thousands of years ago have maintained their ways to this day.

In these privileged natural territories, explora offers travel programs to Torres del Paine National Park in Patagonia, at the Hotel Salto Chico —explora en Patagonia—; to the altiplano and Atacama Desert, at the Hotel de Larache —eExplora en Atacama—; to Easter Island, at Casas Rapa Nui; and TRAVESIAS explora, which will give travelers the opportunity to explore other regions in South America that compliment our traditional programs: the Chilean and Bolivian altiplanos and The Salar de Uyun;crossing the Andes mountain range; and travesía in Chilean and Argentinean Patagonia.

We do not expect the journey to reach a peak, aiming at points of maximal attraction, from which one only «returns» after arriving. For explora, the interest is in the journey itself. Every voyage will correspond to its nature. As in life itself, to enjoy every moment, we do not anticipate
